You'd be forgiven for mistaking these photos for stills from the latest kooky Wes Anderson flick, but they're actually the work of Jen Zahigian – a Californian photographer who, much like Sir Anderson, has a penchant for quirky details and heavily saturated hues. The subjects of Jen's snaps tend towards snazzy buildings and rusted over diner signs – the kind you'd likely come across while cruising down Route 66, or if you went on a time travelling expedition back to the 1950s. There's a touch of the romantic in there too, highlighting wistful details and so-sweet-they're-surreal scenes, and the fact is, we're tempted to dive into the screen and set up camp right in the middle of them.
