You'd be forgiven for mistaking these photos for stills from the latest kooky Wes Anderson flick, but they're actually the work of Californian photographer Jen Zahigian.

You'd be forgiven for mistaking these photos for stills from the latest kooky Wes Anderson flick, but they're actually the work of Jen Zahigian – a Californian photographer who, much like Sir Anderson, has a penchant for quirky details and heavily saturated hues. The subjects of Jen's snaps tend towards snazzy buildings and rusted over diner signs – the kind you'd likely come across while cruising down Route 66, or if you went on a time travelling expedition back to the 1950s. There's a touch of the romantic in there too, highlighting wistful details and so-sweet-they're-surreal scenes, and the fact is, we're tempted to dive into the screen and set up camp right in the middle of them. Check out more pretty pictures over here.
