apple slab pie with sprinkles
All the flavours of a hearty apple pie. All the colours of a birthday cake.
Apple pie is great and all, but its golden crust and rustic vibe doesn’t exactly scream “party time” (unless you’re throwing a cottagecore-themed party, in which case, carry on). This is a bit of an issue for those of us who’d prefer to nosh on fruit-filled pastry at our birthday party rather than the traditional cake. But fret not, pals. It turns out that even the heartiest of pies can be fun, too. Simply add some 100s and 1000s to your dough (like Angela Chung from Moments of Sugar did to make this colourful apple slab pie). As you roll out the dough, the rainbow-hued sprinkles will smoosh together, creating the loveliest effect. Finish off the pie by adding a drizzle of icing and another smattering of 100s and 1000s, and Bob's your uncle. Enjoy!
