this ceramicist made 100 mugs in 100 days
How cool is this? Lalese Stamps, a ceramicist from Columbus, Ohio, challenged herself to a 100-day mug-making marathon last year. Sticking to a uniform cup shape and simple matte black colour, Lalese went ham with her mug handles, creating all sorts of fun, architectural shapes. Making something new every day is a bloody tough task, but Lalese found inspiration in just about everything, from a ying yang symbol her dad texted her one day, to an empty toilet paper roll the next. Needless to say, the results are pretty ace. See the whole project over this-a-way.
