these swish garms are helping raise money for anti-bullying organisations
Lovely frankie folk, rejoice! Brisbane textile artist Sue-Ching Lascelles is bringing her rad clothing project, Close to my Heart, back for a third year and we couldn’t be keener for it.
To bring you up to speed, Sue-Ching previously collaborated with artists by transforming tea towels into dresses and auctioning them off to raise money for women in Afghanistan in 2021. Then last year she once again utilised her crafty skills and donated dresses to organisations that support domestic abuse survivors.
This year, Sue-Ching has partnered with five awesome brands, Marimekko, Obus, Rachel Castle, Dowk and Jericho Road Clothing, who have donated fabrics to be remade into some nice frocks. If you’re keen on checking out these fab creations then visit her online shop – with proceeds going to organisations that fight against bullying and provide support for folk experiencing mental health challenges.
