Despite what it looks like, this photographer is no time-traveller. Melbourne/Naarm-based creative Jake Burgess just knows his way around a camera, is all. Snapping super-lovely pictures across ever corner of the city (and the countryside, and sometimes even overseas), Jake captures the inconspicuous beauty of the everyday. From plaster-peeling shopfronts sitting pretty in Prahran to the iconic old-school trams rumbling through the city – and, of course, a dash of vintage cars idling poetically on backstreets – Jake has a darn good eye for making Melbourne look pretty schmick.
