check out these monument-inspired chairs

We’ve never considered which iconic city monument might look best next to our dining table – until now. Italian furniture brand Savio Firmino and designer Cosimo de Vita have collaborated to create CITYNG – a collection of 16 wooden chairs that depict city monuments from across the world.

The chairs themselves are handcrafted, while their intricate backrests are made using a nifty numerically-controlled pantograph. Pretty cool, eh? The collection, according to Cosimo, is “a journey between west and east, between tradition and modernity”, and has us wondering: what offers more lumbar support? The Taj Mahal or the Notre Dame?
