a wonderland of whimsical berets

By

Here's a fun fact for you: the earliest beret dates back to the Bronze Age. Yep, long before the iconic head topper became a jaunty fashion statement – most commonly associated with moustachioed, baguette-wielding Frenchmen – it was simply a woolly disk that kept farmers’ heads warm.

We're not sure if Sydney's Spottie Studio had ancient farmers and shepherds in mind when making their whimsical berets, but we'd like to think there's a connection between their nature-themed designs and the outdoorsy history of the cosy headgear. If you, perhaps, fancy warming your noggin with some of Spottie's sweet creations, head on over to their Etsy shop.
