a rug collection designed by kids
As any parent who has proudly pinned their kid’s work to the fridge knows, little ones are capable of some pretty impressive stuff. Designer Alex Proba from New York brand Proba feels much the same way – hence why she entrusted a whole bunch of tykes between four and 10 to come up with the designs for her latest range of rugs. During an art workshop, the kids created collages so arresting, she hardly even changed them before sending them off to be turned into floor coverings. (Rest assured, the kids were having a blast in the process.) You can take a gander at the designs next to their original collages over on the Proba shop. Each one costs a pretty penny, though it's important to mention that all proceed go towards Save the Children and the Young Centre for Immigrant Children’s Rights in the US.
