Tell us about this particular project: The Kimono Project is the idea of my friend Yumi, a make up artist. In Tokyo, there are so many different fashion styles and subcultures. Today, Tokyo girls wear kimonos to create a modern-vintage vibe with their outfits, combining antique kimonos and obis with modern western accessories to translate their look into daily fashion.
