tunesday – how to have fun with claud

The Brooklyn-based indie-pop muso tells us their ways.

Ahead of the release of their third studio album – Me and the Music – Claud runs us through how to have a grand ol’ time. In a world of constant heaviness, it’s quite the triumphant act to remember how to have some old-fashioned fun – and that’s exactly what their new album is all about. Listen to the stellar record this-a-way and peep our chat with Claud below.

What do you do on the days you’re not making music? Walk my dog in the park and go antique shopping.

How do you get yourself hyped up to play a show? I drink a Yerba Mate.

What’s your go-to karaoke tune? "I’m a Believer" by The Monkees.

Where can we find you on a Friday night in Brooklyn? Nitehawk movie theater or a dive bar.

If one of the tracks from Me and the Music was in the movie soundtrack of your life, which would it be? Probably “The Reach”. It’s totally valid to cry to it as well as soundtrack the moment you’ve reached your pinnacle, which seem to be the only two feelings I ever have.

Favourite type of beer to put in the air? Modelo for sure.

Why is community so important to you? It always has been and will be the most important! I think when systems let you down or work against you, you need to lean on your community and vice versa.
