tunesday – big scary release new single and video

Their fifth LP drops on September 23rd.

Spring has sprung, along with the chilled-out tracks that we’ll be tuning into for the duration of the sunnier seasons. One such song is Big Scary’s “Goodbye Earle Street” – a breezy duet that happens to be a nod to Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. It’s the third single to be released from Melbourne duo Tom Iansek and Jo Syme’s fifth LP Me and You, which drops on September 23rd.

Big Scary have released an equally breezy video to accompany “Goodbye Earle Street”. The vid was filmed by Nick Mckk at a house on Phillip Island, which Jo and Tom would often visit to write albums. “We set up in the living room with this great angled, high ceiling, so the drums sound so cool, and there’s plenty of room to sprawl out with gear,” Jo says of the space. “But what I equally look forward to are the hangs – making meals, zoning out by the fire, windy walks on the beach and playing mini-golf on one of the island’s two courses. We asked Nick Mckk to just be a fly on the wall for these little activities we get up to.”

Take a look at some of those activities (and treat your ears to some sunny vibes) below.
