We first discovered vocal act Aluka a few years back on a farm in South Gippsland, and since then they've become our go-to tunes when we just want to melt into a floaty pool of loveliness. The Melbourne trio have forgone instruments in their melodies, instead relying solely on their sweet, pitch perfect voices, and it tickles our ears in all the right places.
They've just released their debut LP, Space, which was recorded in all sorts of unexpected places. Think moving cars, reverb-filled bathrooms, World War II bunkers and even an indoor swimming pool – basically the creative lasses went everywhere but a studio to create their experimental a capella music.
You can have a listen to some of their dreamy new songs here, or pop by their website for all upcoming tour dates.
