‘the birdwatcher' – a special frankie film

When our vision for the 2021 bird-themed frankie diary came to be, no one could have quite predicted what awaited us in the months to follow. And while this year has been an emotional rollercoaster, it's also reminded us how important it is to spend more time in nature.
To help inspire your next adventure, we teamed up with Australian photographer Kara Riley for a very special frankie film: The Birdwatcher. Using Cass Urquhart’s diary illustrations as inspiration, Kara popped on her walking boots and set about capturing some native birds on film.
The result is a beautiful clip shot on Super 8, celebrating the joy of connecting with nature and the cute creatures that call it home. We couldn’t be more excited to share this special frankie film with you, and you can watch the full clip right here:
