Our shadows are pretty awesome things. For something that follows us around all day, every day, we don't notice them anywhere near enough. That is, until we remove ourselves from them completely, Peter Pan style.
Our shadows are pretty awesome things. For something that follows us around all day, every day, we don't notice them anywhere near enough. Plus, they reassure us that the world is still turning and the sun hasn't imploded into a gaping black hole (which is a nice addition).
That's why Pol Ubeda's photography series of shadows without their human counterparts has us smiling - it's the darker side of the world getting their own back. Too long have they literally followed in our footsteps - now they've done a Peter Pan and removed themselves from our mortal being.
And what do they want to do with this new-found power? Apparently play tennis and go for a dip.
