The extremely rad marriage celebrant Jac the Hitcher and ‘70s ice-cream joint Kenny Lover are hosting a pop-up wedding chapel to raise funds for bushfire relief.

Ever thought about getting hitched in an ice-cream shop? Us neither. At least not until we heard about the pop-up wedding chapel that super-rad celebrant Jac the Hitcher and ‘70s ice-cream joint Kenny Lover are setting up. Heartbroken by the bushfires across Australia, Jac and team felt compelled to help out in the only way they knew – by legally marrying loved-up folks.

They’re offering mini wedding packages for $1000 on Sunday April 26th, with 100 per cent of funds being donated to WIRES wildlife rescue, The Australian Red Cross and Wildlife Victoria. The package includes a short and sweet registry wedding with Jac, a half-hour photography session with Em Jensen Creative, space for up to 20 guests in a private, retro ‘chapel’ space, and of course, ice-cream and hot chips for the newlywed couple. Traditional? Nah. Memorable? Definitely. Bookings close on March 20, 2020, and you can reserve a spot over here if you're looking to tie the knot real soon.
