Sneak a peek at some lovely (and slightly strange) New Jersey motels, unchanged since they were built in the 1950s.

Shutterbug Tyler Haughey has a keen eye for the delightful and the strange. In his series Ebb Tide, he documents the Mid-century motels on the southern New Jersey coastline, which, he writes, “make up the largest concentration of post-war resort architecture in the United States”. Who knew? The motels pictured are more or less unchanged since their original construction, and tend to close during the off-season. Tyler has captured them in their deserted state, which we reckon makes them look a tad more enchanting. Pop over to Tyler’s website to see more.
