Before we found this recipe by Mary at Flouring Kitchen, we were of the mind that crème brûlée was too difficult to make at home. There we were assuming we'd need to save our pennies for a blow torch, and that gathering ingredients would be an ordeal. Oh how wrong we were. That super-satisfying-to-crack layer of burnt sugar?
