It goes without saying that we think Carine Thevenau is pretty tops, so we're rather psyched on her brand new solo exhibition, "For The Nautilus Is My Boat".

It goes without saying that we think Carine Thevenau is pretty tops. That's why we ask her back time after time to fill the frankie pages with all her lovely snaps.

But what's better is that lots of other people, like the Perth Centre of Photography and Melbourne's Edmund Pearce Gallery for instance, are also blown away by her photographic awesomeness, so they're hosting her latest solo exhibition, "For The Nautilus Is My Boat".

It's a tip of the hat to 19th century illustrator Warwick Goble, and his drawing and poem that go by the same name. Think lots of seaweed and shells, but with less of Ariel's prettiness and a touch more of Ursula's grittiness. There's also a whole lot to make you ponder your connection with Mother Nature in all of her intricate, awe-inspiring glory.

The show kicks off on Friday 22nd August in Perth and you'll have until September 22nd to have a peek. Then it's your turn, Melbourne, with the exhibition open from October 1st to 25th.
