bri hammond’s nuoto da sola
The Melbourne photographer’s set of seaside photos shows extreme organisation at its best.
Local shutterbug and long-time frankie friend Bri Hammond recently travelled to the seaside city of Rimini, Italy. Along 15 kilometres of sand, she found row upon row of neatly ordered umbrellas and beach lounges, eerily empty as the sun was going down.
Newly single and travelling solo to prove her autonomy, Bri didn’t plan to capture the series of images now called Nuoto da sola (I swim alone). “But when I saw the empty beach, it was the perfect summary of my experiences travelling alone,” she says.
To spy more of Bri's photos, Melbourne folks can get down to her upcoming exhibition, or pick up the current issue of frankie, which also features a little chat with the talented photographer.
