threaded sculptures by takahiro iwasaki

Can we take a moment to appreciate Takahiro Iwasaki's ridiculous skills? The Japanese artist has made a name for himself carving topographical maps into thick rolls of electrical tape (it's very impressive), but we're particularly fond of his threaded sculptures, which are balanced on the most mundane objects. You'll spot an electrical tower sprouting from a toothbrush, for example, cranes on socks, and a whole fairground atop a pile of towels. Have a look-see through the gallery above and prepare to say wowee.
