the jaded quitters club

You’re probably aware of The Babysitters Club – maybe you even have some of the iconic novels lying around (or a copy of the movie on VHS, if you slot into the Venn diagram of being a certain age and having a propensity for sentimental hoarding). There’s something timeless about this wholesome bunch of responsible teenagers. A little too wholesome. The series may be timeless, but not realistic. Artist Siobhan Gallagher has reimagined the gang in modern, relatable scenarios: they are now The Jaded Quitters Club.

Using the books’ recognisable covers, the Canadian illustrator depicts the gals oversleeping, experiencing heartburn, dating a conspiracy theorist. Even if you never read the BSC, you’ll absolutely relate to this version of them. Especially Claudia and the Spoon that Was Just Ugh Too Far to Reach.
