suzanne husky’s ceramic cleaning products

French artist Suzanne Husky’s 2018 series Douceur de Fleurs (Softness of Flowers) recreates the plastic packaging of household detergents, air fresheners and other cleaning products in ceramic form.

The vases are charming and kitschy, but there’s also a deeper meaning behind them: Suzanne is questioning the cleaning industry’s obsession with using ‘fresh’ floral scents to fragrance and market their (often harsh) chemical products. “An intoxicating fragrance offers your laundry a real moment of escape with each wash,” Suzanne says of the series. “Corporate lyricism meets flowers on detergents or other used products.”

Good point, Suzanne. Take a gander at more of her impressive ceramic cleaning products by popping over here.
