We might not be able to fulfil our fantasies of residing in houses shaped like books or clouds, but that doesn’t mean our feathered friends can’t live out their architectural dreams. Over at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, you’ll find dozens of weird and wonderful birdhouses, including a colourful vintage suitcase, a blue ‘birdega’ and a porcelain poodle driving an egg.

Dreamt up by artists from across the globe, the birdhouses are part of an exhibition titled For the Birds, that celebrates all of the incredible avian species living at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Who said birdhouses had to be boring, eh? Check out all of the ace designs on display by popping over to Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s website.
