nab some cat art for a good cause at fang & fur’s auction

You may know Caroline Moore as the lovely owner of Fang & Fur – an online shop dedicated to all-things feline. Later this month, Caroline is truly proving her love for moggies by hosting an art auction to support New Zealand charity Pet Refuge, which provides shelter for animals owned by people who are affected by domestic violence. “Their work is so vitally important and, being a fairly new organisation, it's great to help them continue to get their name out there,” Caroline says.

The auction, which will be held online and in-person, features more than 40 cat-themed artworks by local creatives like Yvonne Todd, Hayley Theyers and Ross Murray, as well as personalities like Urzila Carlson, Tom Sainsbury and Karen O’Leary. One hundred per cent of sale proceeds will be donated to Pet Refuge.

If you happen to be in the Auckland area, head along to the physical auction at Everybody’s, 7 Fort Lane on August 28th. The free event will kick off at 1pm and there’ll be food, bevs and a DJ. If you’d rather make a bid online, pop over to the ‘Cat-alogue’ and make your pre-bid before 3pm, August 27th. For more information about the event, have a squiz at Fang & Fur’s website.
