madeleine kemsley revives old textiles with charming embroidery
We cannot get enough of this delightful needlework by Madeleine Kemsley. The illustrator and textile artist from Cornwall embroiders vintage, preloved and dead stock fabric with colourful appliqué and minimalistic designs that often feature horses, birds, suns and botanicals. Madeleine sells her one-of-a-kind pieces, which range from clothing and bags to cushions and wallhangings, on her online shop (though getting your mitts on some items will prove difficult – they sell out quickly!).
