layla may arthur builds intricate paper sets
The highly detailed sculptures created by Layla May Arthur really put our cut-and-paste skills to shame. Armed with her trusty white paper and scalpel, the Jersey-born, Netherlands-based set designer carefully cuts and etches even the tiniest of details, before building her 3D architectural pieces layer by layer. (You can watch the process yourself on Layla’s Instagram – she posts a bunch of behind-the-scenes videos.)
You may be tempted to take a stroll through some of the charming sets, and perhaps even perch yourself on a Parisian-style paper chair. But alas – all of Layla's work is in miniature form, so it's best to just use the power of imagination instead. With that in mind, treat your eyeballs to more of Layla’s curious paper designs by popping over to her website and Instagram.
