jess humphrey’s mesmerising glass collage
It’s never too late to do the awesome thing you’ve always wanted to do. That’s the lesson we’re learning from New York artist Jess Humphrey who, after two decades in the fashion industry, decided to have a crack at collaging full-time, instead. And we’re so glad she did, because that eventually led to this series of casted glass collage, The Effects of (Love and) Trauma on the Brain. Jess has embedded strange, colourful objects in crystal-clear glass, making the works look like ice sculptures, or even tiny organisms on a microscope slide.
