half-full snaps by suzanne saroff

Still life is a creative style that has been an iconic fixture of the art world since the very beginning, but New York-based photographer Suzanne Saroff is taking it to even greater depths. Flowers, fruit and fish are placed in front of clear vessels of water that distort their shapes and lets us look at these objects in ways never seen before, and they look pretty dang cool.

Suzanne explains that she aims to encourage viewers on a “visceral level” to question their own perceptions of our natural world and “connect with the beauty and complexity” present in our lives. If you fancy a further look of Suzanne’s skewered shots then visit her online portfolio, or wander down to her Instagram.
