five of the most unique museums across the globe
There's nothing better than spending a day trotting around a museum, we reckon. Whether we're casting our peepers at some of the most famous pieces of art ever made or staring at some good old dinosaur bones, we're bound to have a ball of a time.
However, if you're growing a bit bored with paleontological discoveries or paintings then take a gander at our list of quirky museums below — ranging from the history of the toilet to an archive dedicated to break-ups.
THE MUSEUM OF BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS — CROATIA Break-ups are the pits. While we acknowledge that the idea of relationships falling apart is nothing new and a common fact of life (after all, we wouldn't have Adele's ace discography if everyone just stayed together all the time), they're still pretty dang crummy to deal with. This museum is located in Zagreb, Croatia, and is dedicated to the act of breaking up with a significant other, described on its website as "a physical and virtual space created with the sole purpose of treasuring and sharing your heartbreak stories and symbolic possessions," so expect to leave the space with glossy eyes. Spy everything the museum has to offer by popping by their website over here.

CUP NOODLES MUSEUM — JAPAN Ah, the old reliable cup of noodles. It's a staple of pretty much every pantry on the planet and the life source of many Uni students, but where did it come from? This museum — located in it's birthplace of Osaka, Japan — explores the illustrious history of the cheap and cheerful snack, beginning from its inception in 1958 by Momofuku Ando to its future endeavours (including ramen in space). If you're planning a trip over to Japan any time soon we recommend adding this one to your itinerary, and you can even scoop up your own hand-made cherished cup of instant ramen on the way out. Visit their website this-a-way.

DOG COLLAR MUSEUM — ENGLAND Pups have been a large part of our lives since the beginning of time (in fact, dogs just so happened to be the first animal our ancestors ever domesticated), so it's a given that puppy accessories have also been part of human history for almost equally as long. Enter, the museum of dog collars located in Leeds, England. This museum has a rad archive of collars ranging from the late 15th Century fitted for a variety of pooches, from tiny lapdogs to larger working dogs. Get a load of everything you'll need to know about visiting by popping by their website here.

SULABH INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM OF TOILETS — INDIA Arguably the most overlooked yet important pieces of any home is the humble toilet, even if we're not supposed to talk about them in the presence of 'polite company'. Thankfully, this museum located in New Delhi, India, isn't shy to talk about this monumental feat of modern plumbing, and explores the history and evolution of sanitation and toilet systems dating from the third millennium BC through to the end of the 20th Century. We reckon you'll appreciate your commode at home a whole lot more after witnessing five thousand years of toilet history, so pop by their website here.

MUSEUM OF MINIATURES — CZECH REPUBLIC You might think you've already seen your fair share of miniatures in museums, but we can guarantee you've never seen teeny-tiny creations quite like these before. This museum in Prague, Czech Republic, features a wide collection of miniature art (they actually boast one of the largest collection of miniatures across Europe), with some pieces being so small they actually require guests to look through a magnifying glass and microscopes just so you can see all the details. Curious on how you can plan a visit? Peep their website.
