Guimi You’s artworks are pretty magical. They’re not only super-easy on the eye, but they also remind us of the therapeutic qualities of sitting in the garden with a cuppa while quietly basking in the glorious orangey-purple rays of sunrise and sunset. (In other words: they remind us to slow the heck down and take in our surroundings every once in a while.)
The Korean artist uses oil paint on linen to create her soft, entrancing pieces, and is inspired by the small, daily moments that make up her life. You’ll spot her hazy faceless character reading on an outdoor bench, watering the plants, taking the bins out, and going for a stroll, coffee in hand.
