a rainbow kindergarten in china
This isn't your average kindy. Nuh, uh. Designed by SAKO Architects, this kaleidoscopic school in Tianshui, China, features 483 pieces of rainbow-coloured glass and an impressive rooftop play space. With its big curves and minimal design, the place looks more like a modern art gallery than a pre-school, which leaves us wondering: where have they hidden all the toys? Won't kids tumble straight down those stairs? It's hard to imagine the white walls staying pristine, too – surely some grubby tots will smear dirt/sauce/crayon across them any day now. Well, here's hoping the well-behaved kids of Tianshui prove us wrong.
