vietnam's colourful shutter house

Vegan House, a guest house and kitchen in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City, is giving fans of cooking, noshing and just hanging out a place to get away from the hustle and bustle inside a pretty cool-looking building.
Block Architects designed the space with an emphasis on the traditional shutters found in many Vietnamese homes – except that these ones are splashed in a range of vibrant hues, and cover the entire front of the building, as well as the roof. Cool, huh? There’s also an emphasis on flora in all corners, and donated or found furniture on which to rest your weary bones. And don't let the name mislead you - while vegan food does feature prominently in the kitchen, it's certainly not all you'll find on the stove.
