Sorry for the alliteration there but it’s impossible to sum up Vanessa Smith's incredible works without using the terms "moody" or "melancholy". The British lass combines photographs with painted interiors in a rather unqiue way, and we're a tad enamoured with it. Every image could be the opener of a film noir movie and elicits countless questions: where is this? What’s just happened? Why do I feel vaguely unsettled? Vanessa has done a bang-up job of capturing attention and stimulating thoughts faster than you can say "taxidermied cat".
