The Sydney duo's new track is out of this world.
Morgues (aka Celeste Dao and Cath Connell) met over the internet a few years ago and bonded over photos they snapped at a Gang of Youths gig. It’s kind of fitting, then, that the Sydney bedroom pop duo has just been signed by former Gang of Youths guitarist Joji Malani’s record label, Broth Records.
The duo has also released a dreamy new track, “Outer Space”, which is “a love song for anxiety, space and dogs”, according to Celeste. “Cath started writing this song at the very beginning of Morgues while thinking about the things she would like to do but struggles with due to anxiety, such as being in a relationship and going to unfamiliar places,” she says.
