You know those movie scenes where two genetically-blessed (but thoroughly troubled) characters drive their beat-up car through beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the Nevada desert? That’s kind of what this mini-album from Melbourne musician David Thor sounds like. Filled with moments of quiet anguish and sparkly peaks, Darvid recorded I’m Never Really Here from his bedroom over the course of a year.
