Watch the Brissy songstress’s love letter to our natural landscape.

In case you weren’t already aware, Brissy artist Clea has been knocking our socks off with gorgeous visuals for some time now. The songstress’s haunting vocals are a perfect match for hazy, cinematic shots, and that’s just what she’s created for “Sugar”. The new track pays homage to Queensland’s natural landscape, filmed over three days in the rolling hills of Scenic Rim. Feeling heartbroken after the summer bushfires, Clea and her collaborator Jack Birtles centred the video on the four elements – wind, fire, water and earth – urging us to protect what we have. “It saddens me deeply that it takes the country to burn and our chests to fill with smoke to truly start to take seriously the issue of climate change and the great stress humans place on this incredible earth,” Clea says. “The world is in great pain and the systems in place have failed us. True change is crucial otherwise we can literally kiss it all goodbye.”
