Like so many of us, Melbourne muso Tanya Batt (aka BATTS) is a space enthusiast, enamoured with missions to the moon and drifting across the stars. Her latest track ‘Gun’ is an emotive, slow-burning ballad – a fictional tale of heartbreak and ruin she imagined when she lost the adolescent urge to become “self-destructive” in order to make art.
Though the subject matter of the track stays firmly on Earth, the build-up of guitar and drums will sweep you up across the plains and outwards into the infinite night sky.
