Until now, the only Queens of the Stone Age adaptations we've heard are from well-oiled cover bands at the local pub. This album is different though.
Until now, the only Queens of the Stone Age adaptations we've heard are from well-oiled cover bands at the local pub. This album is different though – for one, there's a refreshing absence of clinking glasses in the background, and, more importantly, it's been given the tick of approval from Josh Homme himself.
With founding member of Nouvelle Vague, Olivier Libaux, at the helm, Uncovered QOTSA is a collection of Queens of the Stone Age covers performed in styles as diverse as folk to bossa nova. There's a whole lot of lady lung power on the record too, with artists such as Inara George and Emiliana Torrini lending their vocals to the tribute.
We've got ten copies of Uncovered QOTSA to give away to some lucky Queens of the Stone Age fans. Just send through an email with your name and address, and let us know which of their tracks you'd most like to hear covered.
