tunesday - the transatlantics' favourite things interview
We had a little chat with singer Tara Lynch of soul-sister-slayers, The Transatlantics. These three Adeladies (see what we did there?) and their large band of merry men have injected some well-needed groove into our lives and are coming to a town near you soon.

Favourite place for a cuppa? There is a really cute tea bar/gallery/freelance design office/zine shop in Adelaide called Magazine Gallery that serves Scullery Made Tea. It has a really fun, relaxed vibe and a resident dachshund named Fred, so that's my favourite place to enjoy a cup of tea.
Favourite blog you flick through regularly? Cabin Porn. It's a photographic archive of the most beautiful and impressive cabins from around the world. From rugged North American log cabins in snow-covered pine forests to classic Scandinavian weatherboard huts sitting upon remote cliffs, they're all amazing and we dream of converting them all into recording studios.
Favourite season? In our hometown of Adelaide, summer is the best season. With so many arts festivals like The Adelaide Fringe, The Adelaide Festival and Womadelaide coinciding at the same time, it's a really exciting time for music and the arts in general.
Favourite object you've found in a charity store? One of our bandmates Locky found a pair of vinyl pants that were left out for hard rubbish and wore them to a dress up party as George Michael. It was a hot night and he sweated so much that we had to cut them off cos he was getting quite distressed. Poor little guy in his hard rubbish pants. That's probably my favourite charity clothing moment, although it didn't come from a store.
Favourite hairdo and how to do it? I'm a huge fan of the towering bouffant style, think Raquel Welch circa 1966 or Jane Fonda in Barbarella! My method involves getting intimate with a tail comb and copious amounts of hairspray.
Favourite video clip you've seen recently? The film clip for the Thundercat tune 'Walkin' was pretty classic! (see left)
