This is the latest single from Melbourne lass Sui Zhen, one of our frankie record staples in the office CD player. In fact, we like her dainty-voiced electronics so much that we had her play our Issue 50 shindig two months back.
It's called "Midriffs" and was influenced by a brief period of living in a Surry Hills flat so tiny and stuffy that she had to resort to wearing tiny tops all year round for self-ventilation. As you can see from this delightfully produced clip though, nowadays this kind of styling lends itself more to Fresh Prince throwbacks and somewhat shonky basketball throwing. But we won't judge her for her skills with a b-ball - partly because we can hardly bounce one ourselves - but instead will judge her by sweet tunes like these.
