tunesday - melodie francaise giveaway
What's not to like about the French? They've brought us croissants, Amelie, our favourite skinny fries and mountains of gooey cheese, not to mention centuries' worth of musique fantastique.
What's not to like about the French? They've brought us croissants, Amelie, our favourite skinny fries and mountains of gooey cheese. There's also centuries' worth of musique fantastique, and a group of Australian musicians have decided to present their own interpretations of this goodness on the compilation album, Melodie Francaise.
Artists such as The Jezabels, Lisa Mitchell, Thelma Plum, Big Scary and Vance Joy have covered tunes from the Land of Pastries and Love, adding their own dollop of je ne sais quoi to the contemporary and classic songs. We've got five copies of the record to give away ahead of its August 16th release date. Pop through an email here and you could not only be swaying along to some Gallic melodies, but sporting these specially made Spring Court shoes while doing it (so don't forget to include your shoe size).
