If you could paint the walls of your house with any colour, texture or image, what would you choose? Greenery exploding from the walls of your studio perhaps, or illustrations of birds perching their way up a staircase. That’s what Liverpudlian artist Emily Powell has done, anyway. The painter has transformed the inside of her five-bedroom Brixham terrace abode into a home that brings the uncontained colour of the outside world inside – and, frankly, we couldn’t be more jealous.
