stuff mondays - whole larder love giveaway
Need a beautiful new cookbook in your collection? Give us homemade pasta, meaty ragus and a dollop of jam on some damper any day.
Why is it that fancy food just never seems to taste as good as good ol' rustic cooking? Flambé this, nutrient foam that... Give us homemade pasta, meaty ragus and a dollop of jam on some damper any day. Rohan Anderson is releasing his cookbook tomorrow and we can't wait to spend the evening in the kitchen. It's called Whole Larder Love and is full to the brim of hearty, home-style recipes like your mother used to make (that is, if your mother lived in the American hinterlands and had a never-ending supply of yummy stock and veggies). He writes for Smith Journal, our fellow magazine for men, so we can guarantee that he's a decent bloke (as well as a decent cook).
If you like what you see and want to get your mitts into some oven mitts and get cooking, just email us here with your name and address. We have five copies to give away, so just head over to the official website and let us know what scrumptious morsel you'd like to cook to go in the running.
And if this is all sounding like your wedge of brie, then also have a peep at the amazing video to the left. It's the first of Smith Journal's new videos and features Rohan building a smokehouse by hand. Pretty damn nifty, if you ask us.
