Catching delicate textiles on a prickly surface is up there in the top things that drive us up the wall, so this series by artist Steven Vasquez Lopez should have steam coming out our ears. Luckily our lobes remain fog-free though, because these aren't the close-ups on tatty thread art that they appear – they're actually incredibly detailed drawings created entirely from ink.
Growing up the son of a seamstress, the San Francisco-based artist knows a thing or two about fabric, and his hand-drawn designs are a tribute to his ma's niftiness with a needle and thread.
