Treat yourself to a dessert that’s gourmet as all get out.

Some pies are simply made by thawing out frozen dough and stuffing fruit inside. This pie however is a little more gourmet – the kind you’ll spend a good half-day in the kitchen tending to. And you know what? We reckon it’s well worth it. It's a salty honey pie with roasted rhubarb and lilac sugar (try saying that three times), thunk up by the very clever Aimee Twigger at Twigg Studios. If you’re up for playing chef, you can hop over to Aimee’s blog to start whipping up the three separate components (pie dough, roasted rhubarb and custardy filling). Of course, if you’re less charmed by the idea of a hours-long bake, you could also strip back on the fillings by leaving out the rhubarb and lilac sugar: Aimee assures us that either way, you’ll end up with a scrummy-as-heck dessert.
