There’s scrumptious, then there’s enter-my-gob-immediately-thank-you. And we definitely think this cake from Hey Modest Marce falls into the latter category. Sure, it’s a classic baked cheesecake as far as the filling and crust are concerned, but then it’s topped with ooey-gooey salted caramel sauce – a tastebud-pleasing flavour combination, if we do say so ourselves.
What’s also rather cool about this recipe, from a purely practical perspective, is that the salted caramel sauce will fill in any craters that form in the top of your cheesecake. Pretty convenient, eh? If only all cover-ups were so tasty! Oh, and you don’t need any fancy ingredients – everything is available from your local supermarket (or might just be in your pantry already). High fives for that.
