Some images bring forth such vivid associations it almost feels like we’ve been transported back in time. We weren’t around for the ‘50s, but this maraschino cherry-topped number makes us feel like we’re sitting in a diner, sipping milkshakes and listening to a jukebox. Maybe we’ve just been watching Grease one too many times. Regardless, this is a delightful cake to make if you want to make an impression (or simply eat something delicious). Food blogger Style Sweet CA tried her hand at The Cake Blog’s recipe and we cannot fault the outcome – just look at that perfect frosting! And like every decent baked good, there’s the addition of chocolate chips. Oh lord. Pop in your hair curlers and get to work.
