Big kids, little kids, kid-identifiers – this one’s for you.

Big kids, little kids, kid-identifiers – this one’s for you. Part of National Youth Week 2016, Playful brings together a bunch of artists from our wide brown land and beyond, all in the name of celebrating play. (Now that’s a cause we can get behind.)

Curated by local lady Sophia Cai, the exhibition will feature soft sculpture, ceramics, textiles and toy design from top-notch makers like Cat Rabbit, Tessy King, Rosaleen Ryan and Ashley Ronning. There’s also a series of weekend workshops where you can give your imagination and crafty digits a workout – from hand-sewing with Luke Temby and jewellery-making with Holly Leonardson to drawing with Kenny Pittock and paper play with Beci Orpin.

If you happen to be in Melbourne town with a penchant for all things cute, crafty and nostalgic, an opening night party will be on at the City Library Gallery on Thursday April 7th from 6pm till 8pm. Don’t fret if you can’t make it along, though – you’ll have until April 29th to pop by and have a squiz.

Head this way for more details on the Playful goings-on.
