Photographer Tom Janssen follows floats parading across the Netherlands.

There’s a lot of good stuff going on in The Netherlands: burger-filled vending machines, bicycle highways, a museum of fluorescent art. Pay the tiny country a visit at any given point and you might also be treated to one of their many annual parades (there are over 500, in fact).

Dutch photographer Tom Janssen spent time capturing procession after procession of majestic floats for his aptly titled book, Parade. Composed of steel, flowers and papier mâché, these larger-than-life designs can often take months to build. See the floats rolling through suburbia in all their glory below and check out more from Tom over here.
